Autumn Term 2007Last term we worked on our Go For Its. We enjoyed having a demonstration of different hairstyles by one of the Mums, and at the end of the term we decorated mini Christmas cakes and a visit to Pop in and Paint in south Woodham rounded off the term. Three of our Guides, Keeleigh, Kirsty and Alexandra were awarded their Baden-Powell Challenge badge at the end of the term. This is the highest award a Guide can achieve and was well deserved. All three girls have now joined the new Ranger unit and are also Young Leaders with units in the district.
Summer Term 2007We enjoyed several evenings cooking outside, and the term culminated in a four day camp at Chigwell Row campsite which was much enjoyed by all. We participated in lots of activities including indoor climbing, archery, the crate challenge and orienteering. Two of the Guides had their birthday while we were there so we had a very unGuidelike "pink" party including pink "champagne"! GeneralOur Unit has four patrols - lions, penguins, pandas and elephants. These are some of the activities that we have done over the last year either at meetings or further afield:
