Welcome to Girlguiding South Woodham Ferrers District

The SWF District encompasses the town of South Woodham Ferrers in Essex and also the village of Rettendon.

The District offers Guiding to girls from 5 to 18 through Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Senior Section.

Summer Fete - Saturday 6th June 2009

Come along to our summer fete at Guide HQ, from 12.00 to 4.00 pm. Lots of fun activities including raffle, tombolas, coconut shy, toy stall, fancy dress competition and much, much more. Please email Webmaster for further information.

New HQ Project

Our existing Guide HQ is coming to the end of its useful life and is needing increasing amounts of maintenance to keep it safe for our girls. A New HQ Project has started with the aim of replacing it in 2010 - the centenary of Guiding. Please check the link on the left for opportunities to support our fund-raising activities - shopping online, coming to our shopping events, coming to our Summer Fete.

Looking for a new hobby?

We could not carry out our activities without the support of the women who run the units as warranted Guiders, or who help as non-uniformed Unit Helpers. So if you're looking for a fun and rewarding hobby, click here to find out more or email the District Commissioner!
